GBNE Represented in XCFL MMA |

Three Gracie Barra New England members fought in the first event of the newly founded mma organization, The XCFL. Purple belt Joel Choquet and blue belts Samuel Almeida and Roger Brackett all represented Gracie Barra New England very well on this night. In the early card, Joel showed a lot of heart in his very fist MMA bout, but was unable to come up with a victory. Joel continues to train hard and will undoubtely be back for another fight in the near future. Samuel was able to fair better and dominated his opponent, securing a quick tap-out victory within the first minute of the opening round via rear naked choke. In the co-main event of the evening Roger, a seasoned veteran of the octagon, also fought a very hard battle against a tough opponent in Alexandre "Vaca" Moreno from Team Link. Vaca came out victorious over Roger in this highly anticipated matchup of MMA veterans. Professor Terrinha would like to thank all three fighters for their hard work and dedication.
